My approach to coaching psychology is based on the belief that it's not who we are that holds us back, it's who we think we're not. It's our fears that limit our possibilities once we have an awareness of what keeps us stuck, we can take today and look forward.
Coaching is a powerful process by which a coach and a client(s), create a partnership to formulate, implement and achieve a desired outcome in a specific valued life area(s). A coach asks evocative questions, provides information and gives appropriate feedback that helps clients develop and clarify their goals and establish appropriate action plans. A coach supports clients to tap into their own resources and strengths, make their own choices, develop new skills and with the coach's support make progress toward achieving their recognized and valued life goals.
I believe life is all about relationships and how we strive for connection. Whether that is enhancing our love life with our spouse, increasing our net worth through business relationships, engaging in more play with our friends, or finding balance with it all. We have an innate drive for connection and we can all improve in how we navigate and nurture those connections. If Tiger Woods can hire a golf coach while at the peak of his game, why wouldn't you hire a coach to help you take 'good' and move it to 'spectacular'?
