Bryan believes we should thrive, not just survive. We can tap into the innate human capacity to be creative and spontaneous so that we can enjoy all the pleasure that life can offer. Support and guidance may be required in the short-run, but a sense of strength is developed that allows individuals to go forward feeling empowered and filled with confidence.

Bryan is a compassionate and sincere counselor who listens closely and provides humanistic feedback in a thoughtful and empathic manner. This facilitates his clients' abilities to explore the vast richness of interactions among their beliefs, feelings and behaviors. He has great respect for the emotional lives of his clients. Bryan believes that feelings determine quality of life. It is from this perspective that he applies a balanced combination of therapies (cognitive, psychodynamic and reality) based on the specific needs of his clients.

Bryan offers strategic counselling for couples and marriages in conflict.  His common sense, direct approach to couples' therapy involves helping partners identify and fulfill overlooked needs while developing a broad range of healthy communication skills. His approach in therapy is based on the success in his own committed relationship in conjunction with the latest research on behavioral themes within marriages that are emotionally fulfilling.

Bryan is an expert in the area of psychological assessment. Evaluations are conducted in the areas of intelligence, achievement, memory, aptitude, personality and mood so that learning disabilities, vocational interests and ADHD can be diagnosed and interventions can be implemented for both adults and adolescents.

Bryan initiated his academic training by attaining three Bachelor degrees in Science, Education and Commerce in a span of five years. His degrees resulted in academic distinctions (Cum Laude). Bryan then completed a Master of Science degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Calgary. Following graduate school, hew underwent additional training and supervision in the areas of brief psychodynamic therapy and choice theory. Upon integration, his philosophy of change included the promotion of healthy behaviors and rational thoughts: new perspectives and activities develop with a context of innate psychological needs that are initially somewhat beyond a client's full awareness.
