About Dr. Bonnie J. Sullivan, Registered Psychologist
Dr. Bonnie J. Sullivan has recently joined Psychology's Best and is a Registered Psychologist with a part-time private practice on Mondays located in the Lower Mount Royal Area of Calgary (1813 8th St. SW). Career and Education Background:
Dr. Sullivan is a registered member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Psychologists' Association of Alberta, and Women in Psychology. She has a Ph.D. and M.S. from Pacific Graduate of Psychology in Palo Alto, California. Dr. Sullivan completed her post-doctoral internship in clinical psychology in San Francisco, California and practiced out of a private office in Cupertino, California before moving to Calgary.
Dr. Sullivan comes from an integrative theory background, using the techniques that are most appropriate for each individual person. This includes the use of Cognitive-Behavioral techniques for changing behaviors and habits, as well as use of depth-oriented theory for areas of chronic challenges or personal growth. She is known for her insightful and empowering therapeutic style.

Dr. Sullivan specializes in treatment of trauma and trauma-related difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, sleep difficulties, substance use and affected relationships. She works with those who have experienced military-related trauma, as well as personal physical and sexual abuse. She is available to guide people who are concerned that they are behaving abusively toward others. Her goal is to increase empowerment and effective relationship skills, while helping clients decrease learned behaviors that are no longer effective.
Dr. Sullivan has provided psychological services to individuals and groups in various settings, including: Veteran's Administration clinics and programs, outpatient and inpatient facilities, community service centers, a specialty program for people who were accused of sexual abuses, a skilled nursing facility for the elderly, and private practice.

Referral and Information Costs:
Dr. Sullivan is currently welcoming new clients. She accepts both professional and self-referrals. Dr. Sullivan works on a fee-for-service basis, as recommended by the Psychologists' Association of Alberta. Individual therapy is provided at $160 per hour, assessment is billed at $160 per hour, and group therapy is provided at $50 per person. Dr. Sullivan is a registered provider for veterans and RCMP with Blue Cross. Other insurance providers may cover part or all of her services.
